Enhanced Features:
To use the enhanced features the customer follows these steps:
::: The caller dials the toll-free access number and enters his PIN. After the
tone, the caller presses 9 #.
::: Comprehensive voice prompts guide the caller through all options.
::: To return to any previous menu or option, the caller can press the # key
at any time.
The voice prompt sequence for enhanced features is as follows:
:::1. “Press 1 to make a regular call.”
:::2. “Press 2 for speed dial functions”
A Customer can create up to 25 two-digit (01-25) speed dial codes.
"00" (zero zero) is automatically programmed by Highway Telecom to
call to the main number listed on the customer’s phone bill.
:::To program a new Speed Dial number press 9# instead of dialing an outbound
number. Listen for the speed dial option and follow the prompts. Once the
customer has programmed their codes, they enter a code instead of dialing an
outbound number.
Cost: When adding or modifying Speed Dial codes, the customer is charged for a
call made to the US.
:::Conference calling is another feature of our Travel Card. To use

:::3. Once the party answers, press ** again and they will automatically
become part of the conference call.
:::4. If the customer reaches a busy signal, gets no answer, or decides not to

call) is added to the customer’s invoice. The charge appears as a separate
line item on the invoice.
Highway Telecom Travel Card Calling Procedure
1. From a touch-tone phone, dial the toll-free access number for the country
from which the call is being placed.
2. After several seconds, you hear a tone followed by the voice prompt:
“Please enter your authorization code followed by the #key.”
3. Enter your PIN. You hear a tone and another message:
“Please enter the country code and number you wish to call followed by the
#key. The country code for the US, Canada and the Caribbean is 1, or press 9
followed by the # key for more options.”
Additional Points
:::Do not press 011 to dial an international call from the US.
:::In several countries, hotels and pay phones block the use of toll free
numbers. Inquire at the hotel front desk about using toll free numbers.
:::In many countries, pay phones require some form of payment just to get a
dial tone.
:::It is not necessary to listen to the voice prompts completely before
dialing the PIN or outbound number. When you hear the tone, then you can start
entering digits, then press the #key. If you do not press the #key, the system
will wait four to five seconds and then start.
Sequential Calling
:::Use this feature to make additional calls when there is a busy signal, no
answer, or you are finished talking. To use the feature:
:::Press the # key twice (##), wait for a tone and then enter the new number
to be called.
:::You do not have to re-dial a toll-free access number and re-enter the
PIN.
NOTE: Some voice mail systems require a caller to press the # key several
times in a row. This may cause the calling card to think the user wants to
dial another number and may disconnect from the voice mail system. To avoid
being disconnected allow 4 to 5 seconds between each press of the # key.
